Kyle Schlesinger is the proprietor of Cuneiform Press. He has been involved with small press bookmaking and publishing for some 15 years, and has published some of the most innovative writers in North America and Great Britain. Schlesinger plies his publishing and letterpress art in Austin, Texas, and teaches at the University of Houston at Victoria.

Alice Vinson is a fine artist working in book making and other forms. In her own words, “I am an artist who weaves tales by combining both words and images. Each book I create, whether fact or fiction, poetry or prose, is fashioned in a specific visual and textual manner to evoke the sense of a particular moment in my life. The results are works that stand apart from one another in both form and content, each one as individual and unique as the moment it represents.”

Charles Alexander is the director of Chax Press in Tucson, which has published some 150 books, including fine art letterpress works, one-of-a-kind artist’s books, and small press readers’ editions. Alexander has presented readings and workshops throughout North America and in Great Britain. He is also the author of 5 full-length books of poetry as well as many chapbooks of poetry.

Karen Zimmermann is Associate Professor of Art at the University of Arizona School of Art, where she has helped to develop and sponsor programs at the Book Arts and Letterpress Lab. She teaches courses that explore two-dimensional and time-based materials as well as theoretical, historical, and critical issues in design.
