Postcard with a three-dimensional flower made of paper and cardboard

Children are most interested in crafts that are easy for them to get. These crafts include the postcard presented in our master class.
To create it, it is enough to follow step-by-step photographs and stock up on the necessary materials.

To make a postcard, we took:

  • green cardboard (for the base);
  • paper in red, white, orange, blue and green;
  • glue (PVA and pencil);
  • ruler;
  • green chenille wire;
  • scissors;
  • pencil.

For the basis of our postcard, we have prepared a green cardboard, it is enough to take half an A4 sheet.

Now let’s start creating the flower itself. To do this, take half of the orange A4 sheet and bend it in half.

Now we will make cuts about 1 cm wide from the side of the fold (not reaching the opposite side 2 cm).

Let’s unfold our orange blank and coat it with glue along one edge.

Now fold the workpiece in half with the other side.

We will use green chenille wire as the stem of our flower. At this stage, it is better to use PVA glue. We apply it to the edge of the orange blank, apply the green wire and start wrapping.

So we got a lush orange paper flower.

Let’s continue the design of our postcard. The flower will be in a vase on the table.Take a piece of red paper (about 5 cm wide and the length of the width of our postcard) and glue it at the bottom, this will be the table.

Now cut out a 10.5×7 cm rectangle from white paper, this will be a vase.

A small rectangle of blue paper (6×7 cm) will imitate water in a vase. We glue all this together and fix it in the middle of our postcard.

Now it remains to glue our flower. This is best done with PVA glue. At this stage, we determine the length of the stem and, if necessary, shorten the chenille wire.

Add a small leaf cut out of green paper.

Our postcard made of paper and cardboard with a three-dimensional flower is ready.
