How to sew an Owl toy from felt
In this master class, we will sew a funny felt owlet.
For this we need:
felt, scissors, sheet of paper, pen,
sintepon, needle and thread, small accessories.
First you need to draw all the details separately on a piece of paper. Let’s draw the head and body on one detail. On it we will draw a muzzle. We will draw wings, paws and a flower that will decorate the head of the owl separately.
And now we transfer all the templates to felt. Trace the main detail on the purple felt. We cut out the part in 2 copies. Now cut out the eyes, tummy and beak from the paper template.
Cut out 2 wings and 1 flower from blue felt. From yellow felt we cut out a detail in the form of a droplet. You need 2 of them, as they will be used to decorate the wings.
Now we need white felt. From it we also cut out 2 parts. The pupils are cut out of black felt in 2 copies. Cut out a beak in the form of a heart from orange felt. From the dark purple felt cut out the tummy.
We start sewing. Let’s take the eyes first. Sew the pupils to the white parts of the eyes. And only then we sew the eyes themselves onto the front part of the owl’s body.
Sew the beak under the eyes with a sharp tip down. Sew on the belly from below.
Let’s put the detail aside for a while. Let’s prepare the wings. We need to sew the yellow detail on the wing. And now we put the wings in place. We need small beads. In this case, they will be in the shape of a flower. We attach a button and sew.So we sew both the button and the wing.
And now we add 2 main parts and sew. Do not forget that the toy needs to be filled with padding polyester. We attach the flower to the side of the ear, and place the bead on top in the center. We sew.
