How to sew an educational game from felt Butterfly Flowers
In this master class, we will sew an educational felt game that will help the child learn colors. The game will consist of 5 tulips of different colors and butterflies, each of which must be seated on a different flower. The game is very bright and interesting.
To make an educational toy, we need:
- Felt of several colors (preferably hard);
- Scissors;
- Paper;
- Pen;
- Needle;
- Threads;
- Velcro;
- Hot glue.
On a sheet of paper, draw a template of the required size.
We cut out all the prepared templates and transfer them to felt. We transfer the leaf and stem to green felt, and the flowers and butterflies to different colors. In addition, each flower should become a pair in color to a butterfly. In this version, there will be 5 tulips, but more flowers and butterflies can be made.
We also cut out a circle from felt, on which a flower meadow will be located. To do this, you need felt of any color that is not used in flowers.
First we sew the stems with leaves to the circle. Moreover, it is enough to sew the leaves on only one side. Then the leaf will be free on the other side. Can be sewn on both sides.
Then, to each flower, glue a strip of Velcro on hot or second glue. If there is no Velcro, then it can be easily replaced with buttons.
And sew the buds to the stems. Tulips are ready.
Draw a circle on the felt.Cut it out and attach it to the back of the future game. We sew the circles along the contour to hide the wrong side of the sewing in this way. At the end, we make a knot and cut the thread so that it does not stick out.
Let’s start sewing butterflies.
For each butterfly, you need to cut out 2 parts. We sew or glue the second part of Velcro to one of them. And then we sew 2 parts of the butterfly along the contour. Butterfly is ready. We do the same with all the remaining details.
