How to sew a Minion headphone case from felt
Music lovers almost never part with it. They listen to it everywhere – at home, at work, and on the way to the store, school, on a walk. And one of the problems for music lovers is the ever-tangled headphones, which are quite difficult to unravel, especially in uncomfortable conditions for this, for example, on the street.
Today we offer you to make a fun organizer in the form of felt, which will not take up much space and can easily be placed in a bag. And if you make it smaller, then in your pocket.
Tools and materials:
- felt in yellow, black, blue and white;
- ruler;
- simple pencil;
- a compass or any other round object of different diameters;
- scissors;
- glue gun or instant glue (superglue);
- thread and needle.
Felt for the organizer is better to take dense, so that it keeps its shape well.
We take yellow felt and cut out a rectangle with sides 15 cm by 20 cm.
We also cut out a rectangle from blue felt, but already with sides of 15 cm by 25 cm. That is, the length of the blue rectangle should be slightly longer than the yellow one.
Now we take a compass or any other round object with a diameter of about 7 cm and use a simple pencil to draw a circle on black felt.
Then, using a ruler on both sides of the circle, draw two segments so that two stripes are obtained. Cut out the circle and stripes with scissors.
From white felt we cut out another circle, which should be 3-5 mm smaller in diameter than the black circle.
After that, we again cut out another circle from black felt, the diameter of which is 1 cm. It will serve as the pupil of the minion’s eye.
Then we stack these cut out parts on top of each other so that the pupil (the smallest black circle) is at the top, the white circle is in the middle, and the black circle with stripes is at the very bottom.
Glue them with glue in this order. Moreover, the pupil is placed a little in the upper part of the white circle.
After that, glue the resulting Minion eye to a yellow rectangle and cut off the excess ends of the strips.
We apply the yellow felt with an eye to the blue felt so that their short sides coincide, and then with the help of a needle and thread we sew them together with a buttonhole seam. Thus, we connect three sides, one of the sides will serve as an opening for the organizer pocket.
