How to sew a Christmas tree toy Penguin from felt
Felt toys have been very popular lately. After all, with their help, decorations for a festive Christmas tree are original and practical.
In this master class, we will sew a New Year’s toy in the form of a penguin.
To make a toy you will need:
- felt black, white, orange, yellow, red;
- a thread;
- needle;
- scissors;
- synthetic winterizer;
- black paint.
On a white sheet of paper, draw a penguin template. Immediately draw the white part of the penguin, as well as the beak and eyes.
Then this template needs to be cut out and circled on black felt and cut out 2 identical parts.
Then cut out the part that will be white from the template. We circle it on white felt and cut out the part in 1 copy, since it will only be in front.
Now draw a scarf on paper and cut it out. It should be as wide as the penguin itself at the neck.
Cut out a paw from paper.
Then we take the white part of the penguin and sew it to the black one.
Now you need to cut out the beak from the 1 template itself. It consists of 2 triangles. One is bigger and the other is smaller. Cut out these details from orange felt.
Sew on the beak.
Cut out paws from yellow felt. They need 2 pieces. Sew them on underneath.
Next, you need to make a scarf, for him we will take felt of any color. For example, red. From it we cut a scarf according to the pattern and sew it on the neck. And at this stage, you can sew 2 parts of the penguin.Remember that the toy needs to be slightly filled with padding polyester.
The penguin is almost ready, it remains to make eyes and a loop. We need a thin satin ribbon. We fold it with a loop and sew it from below. We sew this loop to the back of the penguin’s head.
The eyes are painted black. Just draw small circles. You can use nail polish or a marker.
