How to make an educational game “Fishing”

Some psychologists believe that the main development of the baby occurs before the age of three. It is at this time that neural connections are rapidly formed. Therefore, during the first three years of a child’s life, it is necessary to actively engage in its development. For this purpose, there are many educational games, some of which you can do yourself. For example, in this master class we will show the process of creating a game “Fishing”, during which the child will be able to learn colors and develop coordination and motor skills.

To make such an educational game, we have prepared:

  • chenille wire of different colors;
  • plastic eyes;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun;
  • wooden skewer;
  • floral wire.

First, let’s make fish for our game. We will make them from chenille wire. For one fish, you can use a whole wire, then you get a big fish. But we will make small fish, so we cut the chenille wire in half. As a result, from these blanks we will get 2 fish.

Fold one piece of chenille wire in half.

Then we bend the ends in the opposite direction. From this part we will form the tail of the fish.

We twist all 4 sticks together, as a result we get a tail fin. We straighten the rest and give it the shape of a fish.

Glue plastic eyes.They may or may not have a self-adhesive backing. In our case, the eyes are equipped with an adhesive base, so we did not need glue. If the plastic eyes are simple, then it is better to use a glue gun to attach them to the chenille wire.

From the rest of the chenille wire we make fish of other colors.

And now let’s make a fishing rod for our fishing. To do this, take a wooden skewer and fix floral wire on it. We leave the desired length of the wire, and round off its tip, this will be a hook. We have such a rod. If desired, you can use any other wire, as long as it is safe for the child.

The task during the game is to hook fish of different colors with this hook. You can complete the game if you ask the child to sort the fish by color into separate containers of the corresponding color.

We got such a game “Fishing”.
