How to make a voluminous application “Chicks in the Nest” from cardboard and thread
In children’s creativity, a wide variety of materials are often used, which allows you to get interesting crafts. In our case, we prepared cardboard, yarn and decorative feathers. From these materials, we propose to make a three-dimensional appliqué for this master class.
For the manufacture of crafts, we have prepared:
- brown, yellow and blue cardboard;
- compass;
- brown yarn;
- scissors;
- plastic eyes;
- glue;
- decorative feathers;
- a small piece of orange paper.
Our chicks will sit in a nest that we will make from brown cardboard. To do this, take a compass and draw a semicircle on the back of the cardboard. After that, cut out the resulting nest blank with scissors.
We will decorate it with small pieces of brown yarn. To do this, cut it into segments about 4-5 cm long.
Then we use PVA glue and glue these threads on a cardboard blank in a chaotic manner.
Next, let’s make the chicks. They will be made of yellow and blue cardboard. Cut out a couple of small circles of the same size.
After that, the circles are glued together as follows.
We make blanks for chicks. To do this, we glue plastic eyes on them and make beaks from orange paper, cut them out in the form of triangles.
We have such chicks.
We fix them in the nest. We do this with PVA glue.
It remains to add feathers to them. We glue 2 feathers to each chick. Our voluminous application “Chicks in the Nest” is ready.
