How to make a paper bookmark in the shape of a heart – a master class with step by step photos for children, parents and teachers

Posted on

Master class with a step-by-step photo “How to make a paper bookmark in the form of a heart.” Making interesting light crafts with your own hands for children, parents, teachers and educators, for school and kindergarten.

How to make a paper heart bookmark

Bookmarks, including handmade ones, will help make the reading process more fun for a child.
For example, according to our master classes, you can make a funny bookmark in the shape of a heart.

To create such a bookmark, we have prepared:

  • square of pink paper (14×14 cm);
  • a small piece of white paper;
  • glue;
  • black marker;
  • red marker;
  • scissors.

First, fold the square blank diagonally.

Then we bend the right corner of the resulting triangle up.

With the left corner we do the same – we bend it up.

After that, we will bend the newly folded corners back, and bend the upper corner of one layer down to the base of the triangle.

Then we will create a kind of pocket for a future bookmark. To do this, we fill the previously bent corners inward.

This is how we do it on both sides.

Next, we need to give this blank the appearance of a heart, and for this it is enough to cut out the excess with scissors so that our craft looks like a heart.

From the front side, our bookmark for books looks like this.

It remains to arrange it. First, let’s add eyes to our heart, we make them from small circles of white paper, and draw pupils with a black marker.

Then add eyelashes and a mouth with a black marker.

With a red felt-tip pen, draw the cheeks and tongue.

The bookmark in the form of a heart is ready.
