How to make a Christmas boot out of paper
New Year’s gifts and sweets can wait for children not only under the Christmas tree. In many countries there is a tradition to hang a special boot for Christmas, where Santa puts gifts. We suggest making such a boot yourself. We have already shown how to sew a felt boot, and today we will show how to make a New Year’s boot out of paper.
To create such a New Year’s boot, we prepared:
- red paper;
- a small piece of green paper;
- scissors;
- cotton pads;
- glue;
- black marker.
First, fold a sheet of red paper in half.
Then we cut it along the intended fold line.
From one half we will make the top of the boot, and the second will be needed to create the bottom. Let’s start by creating the shaft. To do this, fold one of the halves in half.
Then, from the side of the open sections, we perform a small fold.
We need it in order to glue this part. First, apply glue to one part of the fold.
After we glue the second part. As a result, we get a blank for the bootleg.
To create the bottom of the boot, take the second red half and fold it in half lengthwise.
Then we unfold and apply glue to the inner surface.
We insert the part of the shaft on the right side, combining the edges.
After that, we bend the lower part, gluing it.
Next, use scissors and round off the front of the boot.
Draw a dotted line along the edge with a black marker, which will imitate a line.
We will decorate our boot with small stars cut out of green paper.
It remains to draw the upper edge of the boot. To do this, we use cotton pads, we begin to fix them with glue.
It took us 3 discs per side.
We do the same on the other side. Our New Year’s boot made of paper and cotton pads is ready.
