How to make a Christmas tree toy in the form of Santa Claus from cardboard

No New Year is complete without Santa Claus. He comes to the kids with gifts, and for adults, this New Year’s hero, as a rule, stands under the Christmas tree. We propose to make a toy for the Christmas tree in the form of Santa Claus, and all the steps for creating this New Year’s craft are shown in our master class.

To make such a Christmas tree toy, we will prepare:

  • red and white paper
  • cardboard sleeve;
  • scissors;
  • small white pompom;
  • glue gun;
  • markers in black and red;
  • pink pencil;
  • glue;
  • a piece of twine.

First, we will make the basis for the future Santa Claus. To do this, you need to wrap the cardboard sleeve with red paper, and glue the edge.

On one side of this workpiece, we symmetrically bend the edges inward.

Then we glue them together, not forgetting to fasten the loop from a piece of twine. To connect, use a glue gun.

In the lower part we will make the legs of Santa Claus. To do this, we also perform folds inward, but we do them in a different direction. There is no need to glue here, just bend the cardboard blank inward.

Let’s take care of the design of our New Year’s toys for the Christmas tree. We cut off a small triangle from white paper and draw the face of Santa Claus on it. We use felt-tip pens and a pink pencil for this.

Glue this triangle onto the red base of the craft.This can be done with ordinary glue.

Attach a small white pom-pom on top. For fixing, use a glue gun.

It remains to finish the details, with a black felt-tip pen we denote the legs and belt. We got such a Christmas tree toy in the form of Santa Claus.
