How to make a Christmas tree toy out of holographic cardboard

New Year is the most long-awaited and loved by all holiday. Therefore, in every family they begin to prepare for it in advance. The main preparation for the holiday is to decorate the Christmas tree. You can dress her up in different ways: use old favorite jewelry or buy new ones in a certain color scheme. There is another option – to make toys for the Christmas tree with your own hands. In this case, the color and shape of the decoration will depend on your imagination. For example, you can use holographic cardboard as a material for jewelry, as in our master class.

To create such a New Year’s toy, we prepared:

  • holographic cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • glue;
  • a small piece of white thread.

The basis for our toy will be small squares cut out of holographic cardboard. In our case, we need 8 such blanks with a side of 4 cm.

After that, each square must be prepared in a certain way. To do this, fold it diagonally first.

Then, using a ruler and a pencil, draw lines from the side of the fold at the same distance. In total, we marked 4 lines on a workpiece of this size.

Next, we take the scissors and go through the lines marked with a pencil, cutting our workpiece.

We bend the middle strips on our workpiece to the side.

Now our shiny square needs to be unfolded so that the top and bottom folds are directed down, and the folds on the middle stripes are turned up.

By the same principle, we prepare the remaining 7 blanks for a future toy.

Next, we need glue, with its help we begin to connect the shiny blanks to each other.

At the end of the work, do not forget to fasten the thread. Our Christmas tree toy made of holographic cardboard is ready.
