How to make a bow from glitter foamiran
Foamiran is a material that allows you to create many beautiful crafts. Having made a bow from shiny (glitter) foamiran, it can later be used as a decorative element of any decoration. And creating such a bow is quite simple if you follow our master class.
To make a bow, we will prepare:
- glitter foamiran (we chose a golden hue);
- white paper (for making a template);
- scissors;
- pencil;
- ruler;
- glue gun.
First, let’s make a template for our bow. We need to decide on the size of the future bow. We decided that an 8×8 cm blank would be enough for this. Diagonal lines need to be marked on this square.
After that, it focuses on the intersection of these lines. From this point, it is necessary to set aside 5 mm on both sides.
From these points we lower the perpendiculars down.
From above we connect these parallel lines. Our template is ready.
It remains to cut it with scissors.
Now the contours of this blank must be transferred to foamiran. We place the template on the wrong side of the glitter foamiran. Using the sharp edge of the scissors, first mark the main points along the edges.
After that, we draw lines, this can be done both with scissors and with any sharp object (for example, a toothpick).
We cut out a blank for the future bow with scissors from foamiran.
Now, for further work, turn it over to the wrong side again. Here you should mark the center point with a pencil. It is on it that we will focus when creating a bow.
We apply a little hot glue to one of the corners of the bow, after which we fix it to the center of the workpiece, focusing on the point.
After that, we fix the second tip on the same side with a glue gun.
We do the same on the other side of the bow. All tips should be glued clearly to the center.
The remaining strip is needed to fix the bow in the middle. To do this, first apply a drop of hot glue in the center of the bow on the front side. After that, glue part of the strip.
Then we apply a little hot glue on the wrong side of the bow (strictly in the center). After that, glue the remaining edge of the strip. If the strip turned out to be long, then it must be carefully shortened with scissors.
Our glitter foamiran bow is ready.
