How to grow wheat in an eggshell – a master class with step by step photos for children, parents and teachers

Master class with step by step photo “How to grow wheat in an eggshell”. Making interesting light crafts with your own hands for children, parents, teachers and educators, for school and kindergarten.

How to grow wheat in an eggshell

The Wheat Growing Workshop with Kids is simple and suitable for children ages two and up. The preparation of eggshells is carried out by adults, and everything else is quite within the power of the kids themselves.

The most difficult stage is drawing funny faces. Children drop or squeeze the shells too tightly, so the child may need your help at the final stage.

We will need:

• empty eggshell (previously washed and dried),
• cotton wool,
• wheat,
• an empty egg tray (preferably plastic).

We put the prepared shell in the tray. The height of the shells is about 2/3 of the whole egg.

We lay cotton wool to the middle of the shell.

We fall asleep wheat so that it covers all the cotton wool without residue and pour water over it. The water should soak all the cotton under the grains. Then periodically water as needed.

In a week or two, the wheat will be eared, and it will be possible to entrust the children to draw funny faces on the shell. For face painting, ordinary felt-tip pens or old cosmetics are suitable. You can use ready-made plastic eyes to decorate faces.

At will, we decorate the “hairstyles” with hairpins and elastic bands.
