How to draw a Christmas tree in watercolor
Drawing a watercolor drawing is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. It is enough to skillfully use a brush, and the technique will come with experience.
The New Year holidays are approaching and it’s time to draw pictures on the winter theme. For example, you can draw a fluffy Christmas tree on the edge of the forest, which the forest dwellers have already decorated with balls and garlands.
Today we will look at how to draw a Christmas tree in watercolor. Even a child can cope with such a task.

For drawing you will need:
- watercolor;
- watercolor paper;
- brush;
- water.
To start, we will make a blue background. To do this, we will apply water on the outside of the sheet, and leave a void inside. Now let’s add blue paint – the paint will spread over the wet paper and create a gentle sky background.

Now let’s draw a line with a brush with green paint – this is the trunk of the Christmas tree, on which we will draw the branches.

We soak the paper from the top to the lower branches and begin to apply short strokes from above, gradually lengthening to the base of the Christmas tree. We use a light green watercolor color.

Now take a dark green color and draw some more branches on top of the light green ones. So we get the effect of voluminous branches.

With red paint we put dots on the branches, they spread turning into stars or balls.

We do the same with yellow paint.Now we will pick up yellow paint on the brush and splatter over the Christmas tree, as if elegant lights sparkle around.

We also put dots with blue paint, they spread, turning into fluffy snowflakes.

With a thin brush, mark a star at the top. On the lower branches, you can draw a garland of small red lights.

Let the drawing dry. The watercolor Christmas tree is ready!
