How to draw a cat on skates with colored pencils

New Year is always a wonderful time when vacations, holidays and gifts. At such a time, there is a lot of free time that can be spent with benefit. For example, learn how to beautifully draw a cartoon cat on skates. It fits perfectly on the front of the postcard.

Materials:

  • paper;
  • colour pencils;
  • simple HB pencil;
  • eraser;
  • black marker.

Draw a cat on skates step by step

1. We start drawing our cartoon cat with a simple circle. We apply it with simple hand movements with an HB pencil. Then add a cap-cap on the right side, which will have a pompom.

2. Now we finish the upper and lower paws for the cat. The animal is in motion, because he skates on ice. Therefore, we have the paws on the slope. Draw one ear on the top of the head.

3. Draw the cat’s muzzle on the side in the form of simple lines. We write in more detail with lines all the folds on the cap and finish the tail and skates for this cute little animal.

4. Outline all lines with a black marker.

5. We completely paint over the cat with an orange pencil to make it red.

6. Let’s complete the drawing with red tones. We put them on a hat, nose and skates.

7. Use a dark brown pencil to add shadow to all areas of the drawing.

8. Add yellow and brown tones to the drawing, which we apply with strokes.

9.At the end, paint over selectively with a black pencil to add a shadow.

10. It turned out a beautiful and cute drawing of a New Year’s kitten that skates. It can be used to decorate the front of a homemade postcard.
