How to crochet an educational toy “Polka dots”
In this master class, we will crochet an educational toy “Peas”. It will help the child in the development of fine motor skills and the study of colors.

For knitting peas we need:
- yarn;
- hook;
- sticky tape;
- needle and thread;
- lightning;
- various filler (cotton wool, bead, rustling package).
We start with the base – the pod itself. We knit it with green yarn. Cast on 41 stitches. And knitting will continue with single crochets. We knit a row. And then we will knit 12 rows. And in them at the end we will perform 1 decrease. Get this detail.

We knit 13 more rows. In each of them at the end we make 1 increase.

Fold the part in half and make side seams.

Now we knit the stalk with green yarn, but a slightly different shade.
We knit 6 columns without a crochet in a loop. And then we knit 3 more rows in a circle.
Next, we knit 2 columns in all loops and in the next row we knit 1 column and in the next loop 2 columns.
And in total it turned out 18 columns without a crochet. We knit a row without increments.
We knit further 3 air loops, along this chain 1 single crochet and 1 half crochet. We skip the bottom loop of the base and in the 2nd we knit a connecting column and in the next loop we also knit a connecting column.
Repeat all over again for the entire row.

We sew a zipper into the pod and sew the stem.

We put sticky tape (Velcro) inside.

And sew it on. Then we start knitting peas. We will fill each pea with a different filler. It can be cotton wool, a bead, a rustling bag, any cereal, and so on.
We knit peas of different colors. There will be 7 in total.
First, knit 6 single crochets into a loop. And then in the 2nd row we knit 2 columns in a loop.
In the new row we will knit 1 column, in the next loop 2 columns. And at the end we get only 18 loops.
Knit 3 rows in a circle.
Then we fill the future pea. We knit 1 single crochet, then we make a decrease. And so on to the end of the row. And in the last row we knit 2 columns together.

We also sew a piece of adhesive tape on each pea.
This will allow the peas to hold well in the pod.

Crocheted educational toy “Peas” is ready!
