Felt keychain in the shape of a cactus
Soft crafts made of felt can not only cheer up, but also be useful. For example, our cactus keychain will help you quickly find your keys in your purse.
Making such crafts from felt is shown in our master class.
To create such a keychain, we prepared:
- green and pink felt;
- paper;
- pencil;
- scissors;
- thread with a green needle;
- small bead;
- metal ring;
- a small piece of green satin ribbon;
- filler.
Our cactus will be blooming, so we use not only green felt, but also pink. If desired, the cactus flower can be made in a different color. But first we need to make a template for the future keychain on white paper. Therefore, we take a simple pencil and draw the outline of our cactus.
Cut it out with scissors.
Now you need to transfer the outline of the cactus to the green felt. We need 2 symmetrical blanks. First, we circle one detail, then turn the paper template over and draw the second detail.
You can start stitching the details. To do this, use a needle and green thread. We begin to sew 2 pieces of felt along the edge.
In the upper part in the middle, do not forget to sew in a green satin ribbon, on which a metal ring will be worn.
We continue to sew further, we reach the bottom edge of our cactus blank.Be sure to leave a sufficient opening in order to conveniently add filler.
To evenly distribute the synthetic filler inside the cactus, you can use a simple pencil or any narrow object that will help push the filler into all the bottlenecks. After that, we finally sew up the edges of the cactus.
To make a flower from pink felt, cut out a pair of identical circles.
Using scissors around the circumference, we will make incisions that imitate flower petals. After that, we will lay one workpiece on another.
Sew a small bead on top in the center.
Now it remains to fix this pink flower on our craft.
Keychain made of felt in the form of a cactus is ready.
